Care chairs consist of a corrosion resistant frame with a push bar or grip handles. The side fixtures/armrests are removable and/or foldable, thus allowing a sideways transfer. The seat area of the care chair is made of a rugged padded plate that is upholstered with a water repellent material.
Stationary care chairs have four legs.
Push-type roller care chairs have four small swivel castors (two with locks) that allow easy turning into position. The footrests are removable or may be folded away.
Patient-propelled care wheelchairs have two large wheels with handrims in the back and two swivel castors up front. The footrests are removable or may be folded away.
