Arthritis crutches are made of metal tubing and equipped with a padded support where the forearm can be fastened with Velcro straps or similar elements. The elbow is bent almost 90° thus eliminating loading to the hands, as is the case with normal crutches. Loads are fully placed on the forearms. The handgrip at the end of the support cuff allows fastening and guiding of the crutch. The angle may be adjusted.
The crutch is equipped with a light, flexible and slip-free rubber tip. This product may be adjusted by a spring mechanism or adjustment screws to match the patient’s height.
IndicationConsiderable walking impairment where partial or total relief of one leg or part of the body is needed after an accident, operation or illness whenever other walking aids may not be used because of incapacitation caused by illness.
